How can I get the searches to show in tabs instead of windows?
A:
Adjust your browser to open links in new tabs. Search for “open links in tabs” + your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Brave) for step-by-step instructions.
Q:
SearchOpener isn’t opening a tab for each search I entered.
A:
Your pop-up blocker is likely preventing new tabs. Either allow pop-ups for this site or hold Ctrl (Command on Mac) when clicking Open all. You can also reduce the number of tabs.
Q:
My computer slows down when I do a lot of searches.
A:
Each open tab consumes memory/CPU. Open fewer at a time, or close completed tabs using Close opened on the home page.
Q:
Is my data secure on SearchOpener?
A:
Your pasted terms are processed locally in your browser. They aren’t sent anywhere else. We don’t store your searches on our servers.
Q:
The Close All button doesn’t work as I expected.
A:
It closes only the tabs that were most recently opened by the tool. Some sites (at times, Brave search) can refuse scripted closes; those tabs must be closed manually.
Hmm. Seems to be an awful lot of Christian stuff on this site.
A:
Yes. Knowing Jesus has been the biggest blessing of my life—joys, pains, and plenty of personal shortcomings included. If you’re curious, you’re welcome here.
Q:
I have a suggestion, bug, comment, praise, etc.
